China con el \u201cpremio de la paz\u201d en reconocimiento a sus esfuerzos por resolver las crisis internacionales.<br \/>El grupo de intelectuales que otorga el premio asegura que cuando Fidel Castro presidi\u00f3 Cuba nunca recurri\u00f3 a la fuerza para resolver crisis o conflictos, en particular con Estados Unidos.<br \/>Liu Zhiqin, uno de los promotores de este premio, la alternativa china a los Nobel, dijo que Castro se ha dedicado sin pausa a reunirse con dirigentes y organizaciones extranjeras y ha servido a la causa de la eliminaci\u00f3n de las armas nucleares.<br \/>Adem\u00e1s del l\u00edder cubano, estaban postulados la presidenta surcoreana Park Geun-Hye, el secretario general de la ONU, Ban Ki-moon, o la Organizaci\u00f3n de cooperaci\u00f3n de Shanghai (OCS), un grupo regional asi\u00e1tico.<br \/>En 2011 los investigadores y profesores del jurado escogieron al l\u00edder ruso Vladimir Putin por sus \u201cdestacables acciones para preservar la paz
