sans-serif\">Hace 61 a\u00f1os el Comandante en Jefe fue el principal acusado por la acci\u00f3n armada del Asalto al Cuartel Moncada el 26 de julio de 1953.<br \/>El 21 de septiembre de 1953 se inici\u00f3 el juicio del Moncada.<br \/>El asalto al cuartel de Moncada fue el hecho revolucionario m\u00e1s trascendental de la historia de Cuba en donde se emprende una acci\u00f3n armada revolucionaria que culminar\u00eda con la c\u00e1rcel para Fidel Castro y los compa\u00f1eros que sobrevivieron.<\/span><br \/><a name='more'><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif\">El joven abogado Fidel Castro Ruz era el principal acusado, quien al entrar a la Sala en donde se le juzgar\u00eda, fuertemente custodiado por el ej\u00e9rcito, revirti\u00f3 la condici\u00f3n de acusado, al solicitar al Tribunal que en su condici\u00f3n de abogado asumir\u00eda su propia defensa.<br \/>Fue tambi\u00e9n en esa condici\u00f3n de abogado cuando por primera vez, en respuesta a una pregunta que le formul\u00f3 otro abogado acusado de ser \u201cel autor intelectual\u201d del asalto al Moncada por haberle entregado, su\u00adpuestamente, a Fidel, un mill\u00f3n de pe\u00adsos para la acci\u00f3n, el doctor Fidel Castro res\u00adpondi\u00f3:<br \/>Nadie debe preocuparse de que lo acusen de ser autor intelectual de la Revoluci\u00f3n, porque el \u00fanico autor intelectual del Mon\u00adcada, es Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed, el Ap\u00f3stol de nuestra independencia.<br \/><span style=\"color: #3d85c6;font-size: x-small\"><b>FUENTE
